OUR STORY
GET TO KNOW US
Jampon started as a grassroots fundraiser at the University of Evansville in 2018 created by Alexandra Curren, Gina DeLise, and Sierra Miller. Since then it has grown into an annual event organized by the next generation of UE students.

Some of these individuals moved to New York after graduation and saw a need for Jampon's mission in the Big Apple. Together, UE alums Madeline Jane Malinowski, Lauren Ward, and Jordan Williams with the addition of new member Synit Zecarias, officially formed Jampon as a 501c(3) non-profit in 2023 in New York.

Originally, Jampon started by supporting the local YWCA shelter in Evansville, IN by donating period products as well as monetary donations. Now in New York City, Jampon aims to expand our goal of ending period poverty through the cost reduction of menstrual products, ensuring everyone has a comprehensive education about a healthy menstrual cycle, and empowering all who menstruate through community and art.

Jampon's partner in NYC is the non-profit New Alternatives, an organization dedicated to reducing homelessness among LGBTQ+ youth and young adults in New York City.
